05 Apr World Travel & Tourism Council 2019 at FIBES
After 2 pm, the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama arrived at FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville where the international event World Travel & Tourism Council has been celebrated at the beginning of this week.
The World Travel & Tourism Council is the big event fixed in every worldwide calendar of Travel and Tourism. This congress reunites personalities from the public and private sector to debate and discuss topics related to this sector in an open forum.
It also creates consciousness about the role of global, social and economic when we are talking about Travel and Tourism. The WTTC attract important attention of the media and spreading worldwide.
In the last years, Heads of State, more than 50 Government Ministers, 600 Presidents and Chief Executives, and also more than 500 worldwide media members. This year, among them, we have received to the worldwide known 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, who takes place in the event.
In 2019, the event was focused on the theme of ‘Changemakers’, taking advantage of the 500 anniversary of the first navigation worldwide that took place from Seville and the impact of this achievement that changed the world. The entrepreneur spirit, creativity, innovation, diversity, and inclusion were the talking nucleus of the event that took place 2nd April – 4th April.
In this edition, Obama proceeded to his intervention in the Congress at 3 pm where everyone was expecting to what he had to say. The previous President of the United States was the best ambassador of Seville encouraging people to visit the city of Seville because is really beautiful and wonderful.
After his intervention, the President of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, met Barack Obama in an apart private room at our premises at FIBES. Followed by a private visit to Los Reales Alcázares of Seville together with the current mayor of Seville, Juan Espadas, and the ex-ambassador of the United States in Spain, Jaime Costos.
