11 Feb The Goyas 2019 – The biggest night of the Spanish Cinema
From FIBES, we have no words to thank the Academia de las Artes y las ciencias to trust in our premises to celebrate the Goyas. We are very honored to be part of this performance that has more audience year after year. It is the second time that this show is celebrated outside the capital of Spain, Madrid. It was just in 2000 that they were celebrated in Barcelone.
Seville is a city full of talent and very cinematographic, making a very strong bet every year to improve the Spanish Cinema. We live also in the 3rd city of Spain with a large number of academics and it surpasses every year with more recordings in these locations from advertising spots to TV shows or photographic report, etc. Spanish productions as ‘La Peste’ and international ones such as Game of Thrones or the film MotherFatherSon were recording in our city.
The president of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias, Mariano Barroso announced to the press last 10th July that Seville was the one selected to host this awaited show for many reasons. They were: the recognition for the Cinema Industry, the facilities offered for the City Council since the beginning of the journey and the need for the Gala to be celebrated outside the Capital.
The 2nd February we had the honor to host this spectacular show on our premises, with a capacity for 3500 people, 1500 more than last year. The 33rd edition of this awards was a Gala full of surprises with the leading of the show by the pair of comedians Andreu Buenafuente and Silvia Abril that were absolutely fabulous and shined above the stage. It also counted on the performance of well known Spanish singers Rosalía, Rozalén and Amaia, winner of the Spanish TV Show Operación Triunfo. It was also led by.
The Gala was, as always, very critical with the scarcity of the people who work in the performance business. It was also very reclaimed with the role of women in this sector due to the fact that every year more women are awarded in this Gala.
As FIBES we are very honored that the biggest event of the Spanish Cinema counts on us on this occasion. Thank you for this amazing opportunity and for many more!
